The real problem, you know, with the pull yourself up by your bootstraps thing is the fact that if the people claiming to be in favor of it actually were, they’d be outlawing inheritances along with trying to destroy the welfare net. 

I mean, that’s a depressingly obvious fact which no one ever seems to talk about. They talk about estate taxes being “unfair”. Unfair to who? Quit trying to pretend this is a fair game. It never has been and as long as the obsession with profit continues there’s no way the growing inequality will end.
